Nir Yafeh Nir Yafe () is a communal settlement in the Ta'anakh region in northern Israel. It belongs to the Gilboa Regional Council. It was founded in 1956 by immigrants to Israel from Tunisia as part of the program to settle the Ta'anakh region. Nir Yafeh is named after its patron, Joffe Marks, the South African industralist who founded of the iconic Premier Milling Corporation. At his death in 1951, Marks left a large financial bequest to the Hebrew University, as well as 192,000GBP to the Jewish National Fund for the founding of Nir Yafeh.
